Aftercare
1. Bandage Removal
• Keep the bandage on for 4–6 hours after your session.
• Carefully remove it and do not re-bandage.
2. First Wash
• Wash your hands first.
• Gently wash the tattoo using warm water and unscented antibacterial soap.
• Remove any plasma, ink, or excess ointment.
• Pat dry using a clean paper towel — do not rub.
3. Ongoing Cleaning
• Wash the tattoo whenever it looks dirty, feels sticky, or is oozing.
• You may also wash it once daily in the shower.
• Always pat dry with a paper towel — avoid cloth towels.
4. Moisturizing (Start Day 3)
• From Day 3 onward, apply a thin layer of unscented hand lotion once a day.
• Rub it in completely — the skin should not look shiny or wet.
• Do not over-moisturize, as this can delay healing.
5. General Care
• Do not scratch, pick, or peel any scabs or flaking skin.
• Avoid soaking (no baths, pools, lakes, hot tubs, or long showers).
• Keep out of direct sunlight and avoid tanning beds.
• Wear loose, clean clothing over the tattooed area.
6. Watch for Signs of Infection
• Redness spreading beyond the tattoo, excessive warmth, swelling, yellow or green pus, or fever may be signs of infection.
• If you suspect infection, contact me and your doctor immediately
